Magdala House invites you to participate in “A Day of Caring” to help enrich the living spaces of the individuals we serve with lush greenery. We are dedicated to planting various seasonal vegetables and flowers at Magdala House living facilities throughout St. Louis. This initiative will beautify our spaces and foster a strong sense of community and belonging.
About Magdala House
Magdala House provides safe and clean living spaces for individuals experiencing homelessness. Additionally, we offer permanent housing for disabled adults. We are deeply committed to ensuring our clients and tenants reside in an environment that honors their dignity and worth. Our garden and green spaces aim to create an uplifting atmosphere promoting community and belonging.
What is “A Day of Caring”?
“A Day of Caring” is a community event where we create beautiful and sustainable garden spaces at various Magdala House living locations. It’s an opportunity for donors, residents, and local businesses to make a positive impact together, inspiring and motivating others to join in making a difference.
Why “A Day of Caring”?
This event is dedicated to enhancing garden and green spaces for the tenants at our transitional housing Jefferson Spaces—Tiny Homes—and at our group homes/ISLs and Adult Day Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Why a Garden or Green Space?
A garden or green space provides a peaceful and uplifting environment for our community members to enjoy. It’s a place where they can connect with nature, find rest and relaxation, and foster a sense of empathy and connection among all of us.
