On Thursday, May 8, Magdala House will join hundreds of local nonprofits for Give STL Day—a powerful 24-hour day of giving across the St. Louis region. Early giving begins April 23, giving you the chance to make an impact even sooner. But for us, this isn’t just another fundraiser.
This is personal.
This is about dignity, healing, and home.
We’re raising $5,000 to support our Second Annual Day of Caring, a day on which our clients, volunteers, and staff transform their living spaces into something beautiful, peaceful, and deeply personal.
Why It Matters
Last year, our Tiny Homes tenants filled their community with planters, flowers, colorful rugs, and pride. One man quietly said,
“I didn’t know people would care enough to do something like this for us.”
That’s what this is about.
It’s not just about flowers—it’s about people.
This year, we’re expanding the Day of Caring to include our Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (IDD) clients, because they deserve the same beauty, care, and sense of belonging.
Your Gift Provides:

How You Can Help
- Make a gift — Every dollar helps us reach our $5,000 goal.
- Share our story — Use your voice to spread the word.

Because when you give, you’re not just helping us plant flowers.
You’re helping someone feel seen. You’re saying: you matter.
