At Magdala, we are dedicated to empowering unhoused tenants with the skills they need to thrive independently. Our occupational therapists, case managers, and seven enthusiastic tenants recently embarked on an inspiring outing to the Delmar Maker District. This outing was more than a day trip; it was a journey towards self-sufficiency.
While planning their time to visit the Delmar Maker District, tenants learned the crucial skills of planning their day, navigating bus routes, practicing safety measures, and managing time and money. They also had the opportunity to build a sense of community, which is essential for personal growth and empowerment.
The experience was educational and uplifting, as tenants discovered their capabilities and felt a renewed sense of confidence. They left the outing excited about future opportunities and eager to continue their path toward independence.
