We thank Amy Hilgemann, a cherished board member, for facilitating the connection between Magdala House and Alderwoman Alisha Sonnier of Ward 7. Thanks to Amy, Alderwoman Sonnier had the opportunity to visit our various facilities, including our Tiny Homes transitional shelter, Biddle House emergency shelter, and Hammond Apartments rapid rehousing site. During her visit, Alderwoman Sonnier received a warm welcome from our site directors and tenants, and she had the chance to observe our residents’ everyday interactions and activities.
