Congratulating Shontay Gates: New Director of Intellectually & Developmentally Disabled Adults Programs at Magdala House

We are excited to announce the promotion of Shontay (Tay) Gates to the position of Director of our Individual Supported Living (ISL) and Adult Day Program at Magdala House.

Shontay joins the ISL and Adult Day Program after successfully leading our Tiny Homes transitional housing for the unhoused. As Site Director, she demonstrated exceptional compassion and a strong ability to manage complex care plans, always prioritizing the unique needs of each individual. This experience has equipped her with the skills to ensure that all clients in the ISL and Adult Day programs receive the highest quality care, focused on their specific goals and developmental needs.

In both roles, Shontay has shown a deep commitment to person-centered care, building trusting relationships, and ensuring that every individual’s voice is heard. Her leadership is driven by a passion for creating environments where each client feels respected, valued, and supported to achieve their fullest potential. Shontay is particularly dedicated to helping individuals live as independently as possible, while fostering an atmosphere of comfort, growth, and dignity.

Her approach aligns with Magdala House’s mission to provide holistic and personalized support. We are confident that Shontay’s care-focused leadership will continue to enhance the ISL and Adult Day Programs and benefit the clients we are privileged to serve.
