How to Advocate for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Individuals with disabilities have fears, dreams, and emotions like everyone else. They need human connection, socialization, and physical activities to thrive. They live with challenges that hinder and also pushes some to be more creative thinkers and learners. If you want to know how to be more of an Advocate for those with a disability. Follow along with us once a month to learn what advocacy looks like.

See the Individual

Individuals who live with disabilities are humans. One of the biggest lessons in becoming an advocate is knowing you are talking to a human being, not a disability. Get to know the person, build a relationship, and in doing so, you’ve made a new friend and can better advocate because of your personal connection.
