Magdala House is deeply touched by the generosity of others eager to provide hope and comfort to our unhoused residents. A generous couple, Tim and Terri Gaffney, and their friends and family recently donated and installed picnic tables with umbrellas at Jefferson Spaces (Tiny Homes). These picnic tables provide shade and outdoor space for socializing in nice weather.
Staff and residents at Jefferson Spaces were overwhelmed with the thoughtfulness and the work everyone put in to make the day special. Adding the picnic tables has enhanced tiny homes’ outdoor space, creating a welcoming spot for tenants to gather, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company under the shade. This kind of act has provided comfort, boosted morale and strengthened the community within our tiny home village.
“I deeply appreciate the giving spirit of the Gaffneys and their family and friends. They demonstrate their love for others in a very practical way,” expressed Magdala House’s CEO, Thomas Mangogna.
Our tenants appreciate knowing that the space was designed with their needs in mind, creating an enjoyable experience for them. When someone considers your well-being by providing a space that develops a sense of community, it shows care and encourages tenants to strive for their goals with renewed motivation.
