Last month, Magdala’s Intellectual and Developmental Program celebrated its 2nd Annual Prom, a special event for clients in their ISL homes and Adult Day Program. Linda James, the Adult Day Program director, meticulously planned this memorable day. Linda is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for clients and ensuring that their disabilities do not limit their enjoyment of life. Her commitment to inclusivity and joy was evident in every prom detail, allowing all clients to enjoy a special and unforgettable experience.
The large space was beautifully decorated with a picture backdrop and an entryway where clients could take photos as they walked down the red carpet. A DJ played a mix of the latest hits and classic oldies, creating a lively atmosphere. The event was catered, and clients had a blast participating in karaoke and performing their favorite songs. Everyone came dressed to impress, and the enthusiasm and joy were palpable throughout the evening.
As Linda James reflected on the event, she noted, “Seeing our clients enjoy themselves and create lasting memories is what makes it all worthwhile.” The prom was a resounding success, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Magdala’s community.
